How It Works

Shutterspike.com is an online community with the sole purpose of sharing great shooting locations. After registering as a new user using the left sidebar, submission of new locations is done by filling out a form and answering a few simple questions. The information provided helps other users locate the spot and will improve the search functions of the site.

Locations If you have a local spot that makes a good location upload it using the "Add Spike" link on the top menubar. This will prompt you for a picture (required) and a short description. Most of the information is not required but the more you offer the better it makes it for everyone trying to find it. These locations will show up on shutterspike maps with a yellow pin.

Props: Make money with your Ad! Do you have a great prop (car,plane,dog?) that you can charge people to use. The ads will be searchable and will come up in the site with a "fee" designation. These locations will show up on shutterspike maps with a green pin. The ads have a small email field at the bottom that allows users to contact the poster directly. Your user accounts email address will receive the inquiries.

Create a free account with Shutterspike.com using the handy user bar on the left.

Step 2

Look through the photos from your travels and see if you have spots that really stand out. Is there a great local building or street that makes for a great shot? Add them using the "Add Free Location" link at the top of the page.

Step 3

Search and comment on other shutterspikes so that the community can get feedback on what works. The more people that contribute the better Shutterspike can be.
